President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his best wishes and prayed for early recovery of the global icon and former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela.
In his letter to his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma‚ the President extended best wishes on behalf of the Government‚ the people of Pakistan and on his own behalf.
The President said that the entire nation is praying for the speedy recovery of the ailing leader with whom they have special affection. He said that the well being of Mr. Mandela is not only a blessing for the people of South Africa but is also a source of inspiration for all the people of the world.
The President wished the great leader an early and expeditious recovery so as to enable him continue guiding the people of South Africa in their forward stride towards achieving its objectives of peace and prosperity.
“I am confident that the great ailing leader is getting the best medical assistance. We wish him early and expeditious recovery from his illness to enable him to continue to guide the people of South Africa in their forward stride towards achieving its objectives of peace and prosperity,” the letter said.
