KARACHI, September 22, 2013: Patron-In-Chief of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the bomb blast in a Church in Peshawar killing several innocent people while injuring many others this morning.
In a statement, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that almost every segment of Pakistani society, which wants peace is being targeted by terrorists. From schools to hospitals and bazars to the places of worship, the terrorists seem to be unrestricted in mounting attacks, he said.
Bilawal Bhutto further said such barbaric attack that contradicts all religious teachings, had again jeopardised the peace talks with terrorists. He urged the provincial and federal governments to provide adequate security to put an end to all terrorist attacks aimed at degrading Pakistani people, irrespective of their religious affiliation, and defiling sacred places.
PPP chief directed the party’s provincial leadership and workers to visit the victims at the earliest and provide them all the relief possible. He also announced that PPP will be raising money to rebuild the church.
The PPP leader sympathized with the grieved families of the innocent killed in the blast and said that entire PPP and entire Bhutto family stand by them in this hour of need. He demanded adequate and free medical treatment to all those wounded in the attack.
