ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Tuesday submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly Secretariat over the recent hike in the prices of petroleum products and power tariff and termed it a “callous and thoughtless move totally disregarding the plight of the poor people of Pakistan”.
The adjournment motion was signed by the PPP legislators Syed Naveed Qamar, Shazia Mari, Mehreen Bhutto, Imran Zafar Leghari, Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Suriya Jatoi, Ayaz Soomro, Nafeesa Shah, Dr Azra Afzal Pechuho and Abdul Sattar Bachani.
These legislators also submitted another adjournment motion in the National Assembly Secretariat regarding the three terrorist attacks in Peshawar.Through the adjournment motion, the PPP legislators wanted to debate the deteriorating law and order in Peshawar. They stated that law and order in Peshawar was bad as within a span of eight days three bomb blasts in the city had disturbed the whole country.
