Karachi—Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali said that fourth time victory of Pakistan Steel’s People’s Worker Union CBA in the referendum for next three years was the referendum against privatization of Pakistan Steel Mills and termed it as triumph of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian’s (PPPP) workers policy in the country.
This he observed while talking to 50 members delegation of Pakistan office bearers and members of Steel’s people workers union CBA led by their chairman Shamshad Qureshi, who called on him at CM. house Karachi Tuesday.
Congratulating to the office bearers of Pakistan Steel’s Peoples Workers Union for their marvelous victory and even defeating a big contesting alliance comprised of main political parties, the CM, who was also the President of PPPP Sindh chapter said that PPP is representing to the workers, farmers and poor segment of the society and had always protected their rights provided in Constitution 1973.
He said that establishment of Pakistan Steel Mills at Karachi, Heavy Mechanical Complex at Wah, Port Qasim Karachi, Shipyard and many other industrial units by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was not only to provide job opportunities to the workers of Pakistan but also to bring industrialrevolution along with green revolution in Agriculture sector to make the whole nation as prosperous.
He said Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had taken care of workers in their social life and had also established Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) to provide them health,education, social services at their door steps.
He was of the view that with the grace of God Pakistan possesses talented and hard working workforce which can convert the country in welfare state provided continuity in workers friendly policies in the country by all governments. He said that PPPP always framed positive policies for workers but same were disturbed by opponents while ruling the government.
