LAHORE: Students of Islamia College staged a protest on  Cooper Road against the college administration on Friday, Express News reported.

A student of the college, M*, is currently in the hospital and protestors claim that her condition had worsened because she was not given first aid in time.

The protestors said that on Thursday, M suddenly felt unwell but Principal Farzana did not allow her to go to the hospital. The students demand that the principal be dismissed for her negligence.

Principal Farzana denied these claims. While speaking to The Express Tribune, she said that M had a fit of epilepsy and she took her to the general ward of a hospital with three staff members. The principal added that she had stayed with M in the hospital for around three hours.

Some protestors also claimed that their fellow student had died in the hospital but the principal denied these claims.
